Durood

Salawat upon the Beloved of Allah — the Durood Be-Addadi, and seven more, each with its transliteration and meaning.

Why we send it

The command

Surah al-Ahzab, 33:56

Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings upon him, and greet him with peace.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: whoever sends one blessing upon me, Allah sends ten blessings upon him. — Sahih Muslim
